Either way.. I recommend Sun Joe over this.

What internal "tweaks"?

Also how does this compare to the sun joe one? (Which apparently seems to be discontinued)

Isn't it a non-adjustable model?

Model number on Walmart (Manufacturer Part Number 2500600G) which is this dethatcher:

https://www.greenworkstools.com/1...r-2500600g

Not adjustable and retails for $120

I'm not sure what tweaks youre referring to. The only difference I'm aware of with model 27022 is that it's adjustable and retails for $130. What am I missing?

I read this as "Corded, Electric DeathCatcher". It's been a long day.

I bought their tiller and it broke on the second use. Mind you I live in Socal and not on a farm so this was very light use.

I just bought this one today after my Sun Joe died after 3 years of use. The internal gear that powers the cartridge was stripped during use and this is a common issue. The only resolution is to get a new unit, but they are out of stock until October, according to their support. Until it died, I agree, SJ was the way to go, so we will see what this Greenworks can do!

Wow, same — and that's after dozens of these threads over years.

Deathcatcher is a scarifying word.

I've had this for a few years now. I think I paid $80 on a prior SD. It works as described. Pulls a lot of thatch from the yard. I use it two times a year. We have small front and back yards, so this isn't running more than 15 minutes per section.... likely less. I've had zero issues.

Agree with everyone Sunjoe seems better than gw. Just used both tonight, SJ pulls up 2x thatch on the second lowest setting than gw on its lowest setting.

We could have done with this in 1980's Brittain.

After 45min of moderate use, smoke was coming out in the front and no longer works... Height adjustment requires you to open the center wheel cap and loosen the screw to adjust three different height setting. I believe previous model just needed to pull the center cap to adjust.
