In contrast, this Chromebook will continue to receive updates which includes the underlying Android support system. Future ChromeOS updates would likely include Android version updates.
As such, though Android tablets could be had for cheaper, and the impact of an "old" Anrdoid OS often gets overstated (consider that Android 6.0 is still functional for plenty of users), I'd daresay this form factor and price point could make for an awesome Android tablet replacement.
Good luck!
Jon

Office work - doc files, emails, etc. = yes.
Playing Fortnite? Probably will have a little lag at most
Anything heavier than that or something that requires more than 9 tabs = no

I am considering MS Surface Go 2 and waiting for a deal to come in.
What I like most about it is it comes with a case with a keyboard and trackpad. It is very light. I do wish they had a 11 or 12" version. But this is fine.
I bought an adaptor so I could use a monitor and that worked.
It comes with a 10 Watt type C charger but you can charge it with any charger at least 10 wats if 20 Watts or more it charges twice as fast. Lenovo does not sell that charger on their site just higher wattage ones. Not sure why it comes with only 10 watts. It barely worked with an adaptor. It took 12 hours to charge through the adaptor. However with a 65 watt charger it took 2.5 hours or so.
Facebook has a Chromebook user channel it is good source on Chromebooks.
EOL or End of Life is no big deal. Many people use these long after the EOL.
Some people enable Linux to run more apps. I did not do that.
The OS is upgraded like monthly. So it is constantly improving.
