Depends on what you plan on doing.

Office work - doc files, emails, etc. = yes.

Playing Fortnite? Probably will have a little lag at most

Anything heavier than that or something that requires more than 9 tabs = no

We connect this to a USB-C hub for a proper desktop setup, with a keyboard/mouse, monitor and a camera. It has been working quite well for its purpose - Zoom, streaming, light documentation, offline media downloads.

This should work fine for RDP.

The 64GB without pen was around $175 just last week directly from Lenovo. I ordered one and expecting delivery tomorrow. With 13" OLED version coming out in October, this original Duet's price may come down further, especially around the holidays. But, they seem to be coming on sale every now and then already.

I have seen this as low as $150 new 64GB. So very possible.

Go with this chromebook, I returned S6 Lite to Costco, doesn't support connecting to external monitor. Not that fast too.

No difference, just the storage.

Bluetooth is the simplest option. USB adapters or docks would also work.

Good luck!

Been using this for over 6 months now. Love the device! I also have a Galaxy S6 tab, but I prefer my duet.
I'd argue that this has a significant advantage over any Android tablet: most Android tablets are notoriously abandonware (the update schedule is limited to nonexistent).

In contrast, this Chromebook will continue to receive updates which includes the underlying Android support system. Future ChromeOS updates would likely include Android version updates.

As such, though Android tablets could be had for cheaper, and the impact of an "old" Anrdoid OS often gets overstated (consider that Android 6.0 is still functional for plenty of users), I'd daresay this form factor and price point could make for an awesome Android tablet replacement.

Good luck!
Jon

I have it on Chase checking account and not on the credit card. I know using debit card will trigger the 10% cashback. Will i get the cash back using paypal (chase debit card linked in paypal)?

Bought one refurbished. Very happy with my purchase. It's great for light computer work (emails, surfing, Netflix, writing, mobile games)

Yes. It's has an android os (forgot which version). It uses the Google play store and can do anything you would do on any normal Android tablet.

It works OK. If you are going to use it for mostly Android apps, I would just get an Android tablet.

I use mine mainly as a tablet running android apps, it works great. Plus as a Chromebook you can do more advanced work, remote to a pc, etc. Stadia works well on it too for gaming.

Can this run MS Excel, word and PowerPoint? Want a device that help learning these apps.

I am considering MS Surface Go 2 and waiting for a deal to come in.

I paid $140 for one too. It works great. It is a bit slow but not bad at all. It boots up very fast. Apps load fairly fast but you are somewhat limited on what you can download on Play Store.

What I like most about it is it comes with a case with a keyboard and trackpad. It is very light. I do wish they had a 11 or 12" version. But this is fine.

I bought an adaptor so I could use a monitor and that worked.

It comes with a 10 Watt type C charger but you can charge it with any charger at least 10 wats if 20 Watts or more it charges twice as fast. Lenovo does not sell that charger on their site just higher wattage ones. Not sure why it comes with only 10 watts. It barely worked with an adaptor. It took 12 hours to charge through the adaptor. However with a 65 watt charger it took 2.5 hours or so.

Facebook has a Chromebook user channel it is good source on Chromebooks.

EOL or End of Life is no big deal. Many people use these long after the EOL.

Some people enable Linux to run more apps. I did not do that.

The OS is upgraded like monthly. So it is constantly improving.
