  • The Hateful Eight: Quentin Tarantino's eighth film takes place six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War. Bounty hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russell) is racing through a blizzard toward Red Rock to have captured fugitive Daisy Domergue (Academy Award-Nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh) hanged when he comes across another bounty hunter (Samuel L. Jackson) and a man claiming to be the sheriff (Walton Goggins). When the blizzard worsens, the four take refuge in a mountain stopover where they encounter four more strangers.
  • Mr. Holmes: Mr. Holmes, of Sherlock fame, has one last case to solve at the ripe old age of 93. The mystery has haunted him for fifty years. Now he must quietly slip out of retirement and pay a secret visit to his past in order to determine the future, in this intriguing and thoughtful suspense-thriller.

Exactly how I like to spend my survey credit! Usually, you have to drop at least 5 bucks for movies at Google so this is unusual, especially for a wide-release title

Top notch acting everyone.
Best dialogue without any sugar coating and best of all the wintery atmosphere.

Yeah. It's been on Netflix for a couple years (it might've left and come back at some point). There's the regular movie and then there's the one where it's split into four parts and is presented like a TV show, with credits after every "episode." That version is in 4K if you pay for that version of Netflix, which is cool. Though it's not in HDR, which is a bummer.
