I didn't say that the newer processor model was $350 dollars. The other poster named Whassupp had posted that this deal was not a good deal and that the newer processor could be had at the same price. So I asked them if the 4500U was available at that same $350 price. I didn't think it was, but was checking to make sure. It seems that Whassupp has since removed their post.
Yep the brand is very generic.

Old cpu you should get the newer CPU at same price
Not a great brand

The article speaks of that processor costing $800. It does not speak of this one at all.
I agree that this is middle of the line in performance. Nothing special except better at minor gaming for those who not really game.
Could not find this post.
EVOO and Gateway are the same.

I owned EVOO 15" gaming laptop, and the quality is good. I noticed the CPU fan keep running constantly eventhough i'm just browsing
Just bougth this laptop, will update soon!
The SSD is SATA no M.2 far as I can tell.
The memory has two slots one with 8GB in it. Edit: just one slot 8GB in it.
The 3500u came out in 2019 so not that old.
Not sure if product support works.
At least the DDR is upgradable. DDR4 2400.
This should work for most people. Not for gamers or others who need a very powerful CPU it is middle of the line. Inferior to an I5.
If I buy it, I may, i will get the warrantee.
Edit : One slot only. Sorry did more research and found out it only has one slot some even said they could not find it so YMMV on upgrading the Ram. One did upgrade it to 16GB in that single slot. It worked fine afterwards and System showed 16GB.

I also got mine when they were on fire sale for $299.99 so that made it even more slick. At $349, I still think this is a good deal, but anything above that and it's not that impressive. Mine does have backlit keys, FWIW.
