I didn't say that the newer processor model was $350 dollars. The other poster named Whassupp had posted that this deal was not a good deal and that the newer processor could be had at the same price. So I asked them if the 4500U was available at that same $350 price. I didn't think it was, but was checking to make sure. It seems that Whassupp has since removed their post.
Isn't this just the Motile brand Walmart sold, rebadged as Evoo? I have the Motile Ryzen 5 laptop, and I've honestly been very happy with it. I've been using it as my "around the house" laptop for about 8 months now, and I've been very happy. It's thin, light, gets about 4-5 hours of battery depending on what you're doing, etc. I put Ubuntu Linux on it, which worked flawlessly without any tinkering. I upgraded the memory from 8 to 16GB, and it does really well for web browsing and light gaming (AAAs from 3-4 years ago, or indie games).
I also got mine when they were on fire sale for $299.99 so that made it even more slick. At $349, I still think this is a good deal, but anything above that and it's not that impressive. Mine does have backlit keys, FWIW.
No it isn't the same as the Motile -- the EVOO does not have a backlight, and may or may not have only 1 ram slot. It's just a different laptop with similar specs.
I dunno how the cooling is on these but I saw a video on YouTube where any ryzen laptop cpu can uncover an additional 10% in performance, it increases the TDP and of course it'll run hotter but I've heard that feature works on 2000 series and up
As long as they are not a graphic design or video production student or something like that it should be fine for taking notes and writing papers and web browsing.
I would not use it for heavier programming though.
What do you mean by heavier programming? Would this be bad for learning Python and Web Development languages?

This sells for $622 at Amazon though third party.
The SSD is SATA no M.2 far as I can tell.
The memory has two slots one with 8GB in it.
The 3500u came out in 2019 so not that old.
Not sure if product support works.
At least the DDR is upgradable. DDR4 2400.
This should work for most people. Not for gamers or others who need a very powerful CPU it is middle of the line. Inferior to an I5.
If I buy it, I may, i will get the warrantee.
2 memory slots? That is awesome, uncommon these days.
Do you know what the maximum supported memory is?

Yep the brand is very generic.

PLEASE NOTE: This is just a random one I found online. I do not know if it fits and/or works for this laptop.
