Picked up this QN65Q8DTAFXZA (2020 model) refurbished at my local Microcenter for $799.99. Comes with 90-day warranty and confirmed with my Chase Credit (Southwest card) that it gives me an additional 1-year of warranty after the 90-day Samsung warranty expires. Been watching tv deals for a few months and couldn't find anything that compares to this price point. Hopefully others find this useful as well. Seems like many locations have stock. They were not on the floor at my microcenter so the associates may not even be aware they have them. I ordered online and picked up in store. Came in manufacturer's box. This is the warehouse model so the speakers are upgraded compared to the stand Q8D. Reviews on RTINGS are pretty amazing and the tv looks amazing in my basement so far!

LoL - refurbish is junk
Well go pay $1,300 for the newer 2021 model that got worse rating on RTINGS. Clearly this post isn't for you👍🏼. There's a sucker born everyday who's willing to overpay and you my friend should have at it.

I'm looking for a TV right now and will purchase a Samsung. Likely a Q7DA .

I think this is a very nice deal. For $850 with tax the is nothing better, IMO.

Repd.

As OP said, Rtings is pretty solid at 8.3. Seems to be the one area of issue is with studder and judder when watching sports on cable. OP - did you see any of that?

What's the return policy for Microcenter? Is it similar to a normal item (30 days)?
Thanks.

I am in the market for 65-70" TV but little hesitant about refurbished ( if it was a floor sample ) as this led , qled, oled TV's certain hours of life cycle...

I mean Microcenter may put the floor sample to the box and sell it as refurbished ? am I missing something ?

I was considering LG nano Cell which sounds like equivalent of QLED technology under 1K price range... Feedback appreciated...

Thanks OP - price seems pretty decent if you risk to buy refurbished.

-Refurbished is not a floor sample. It means the manufacture refurbished the product.

-led/qled tv's life cycle is typically so long you would upgrade your tv before it went out.

-LG nano Cell is inferior to this tv. The only reason I'd by an LG is if I needed wide viewing angles (IPS), or an OLED (their OLED's are fantastic).

This tv is a fantastic deal and is what I'd get if I were wanting to replace my samsung KS8000. IMO, this is a fantastic tv to get unless you're looking for OLED. This tv is glossy which I love. Glossy screens are beautiful and contrary to popular belief, they're superb with reflection handling.

There are comments on RTINGS that the model is not good for watching sports due to stutter issues.

Which Microcenter store did you go to? It says that there's 1 in stock by my house but it's probably a ghost inventory..

I reserved one from my local Microcenter and am using my Costco Citi card for the purchase. It adds 2 years to the manufacturers warranty.

Costco has a Q80 Series TV for $1,299 [costco.com] (with Allstate Protection Plan) . This seems to be the best deal I have seen in at least a month for a non OLED TV.

Those were my exact concerns as well and why it took so long for me to buy the TV. I'm happy to report that it has performed fabulously so far. I stream YouTube TV and thus far Soccer and college football have looked amazing. I have a 65" QLED Q8F from 2018 and a 75" Sony 900F from about 2 years ago they were both extremely well rated on RTINGS as well and this tv performs equally if not better so far. This model also has the anti reflective glare on the screen that the 2021 Q8 version does not have which is another upgrade. Hope this helps as I am a primary sports viewer as well with zero regrets thus far.

Interesting. Have a KS8000 and looking for something larger. Would this be significantly better than the brand new Hisense in the buydig thread?
