$10 minimum for in-store pick-up?

WOW!!!

Walgreens seems to be pioneering yet another effort to be customer-unfriendly.

Thanks for the deal, OP. With this new $10 requirement for in-store pickup policy Walgreen's just lost my business.

Yeah, I've got an order waiting. WG is close to home and had great deals but alot of times do my orders as I find deals. Most aren't $10, but I do pickup multiple orders.

Sorry guys! This new policy was just enacted within the last hour or so... I hear that CVS has some pretty competitive in-store deals Wink

I think walgreens doesn't hire enough front end people to deal with pickups so they implemented this instead

At the 2 closest Walgreens to me, the photo counter does the online order pickups. I just did a photo order with no minimum. Crazy.

I usually go out of my way to pickup these Walgreens deals. $10 min just made it easier for me to ignore these going forward.

Chatted with Walgreens live agent and gave feedback on the new policy. I think they will need lots of volume or business loss for them to change the policy again.

Why would they want to make it easier for you to buy loss-leader items without making any other purchases? These prices are set so low that they break even or lose money on these things in order to get you into the store and maybe pick up other things as well. It would be stupid for them to make it easy for you to just buy a couple items they lose money on and nothing else.

Probably the point if your business is only spending 49¢ for candy and your entire purchase won't even meet $10. It's probably not cost effective to pay an employee $15 an hour to fetch 49¢ candy, then store it in anticipation of finding and retrieving it later, or even having to put it back after messaging you that you have 2 days left to pick it up.

How about picking up some junks to add up to $10 and return it there while you're in the store
