  • Venmo Instructions:
    1. Open Venmo App (Android or iOS)

    4. Accept Permissions
    5. Click "Save for Later"
    6. Under Profile, select QR code symbol
    7. Click "Show to Pay" to being up your QR Code

The offer is valid from 6-7-2021 to 9-10-2021 and only to the first 50,000 people. They don't give you the discount right at the cash register... they give you a $20 credit at some point in the future *if* you are the first 50,000. So it's impossible to know if you are going to get the $20 or not. Back when they had the $10 back on a $20 transaction, I had to contact the Better Business Bureau to get the $10 from PayPal. I advise you to steer clear of this one; PayPal doesn't have the best reputation at fulfilling promotions like this.

Was able to add the QR codes about an hour ago, but when I went to the CVS at Parmer Lane/Avery Ranch in Austin, the register told me it "could not complete transaction" either with Venmo or Paypal (and I've had these forever). So if the offer is gone I guess that's not a bad thing.

Was at a CVS near me and the cashier told me why the GC with PayPal are popular today?

He then told me a guy few hours earlier had bought 8 GCs on separate PayPal transactions.

Just went into the CVS store and bought a $25 ITunes gift card, paid with my PayPal QR code and got an email instantly for $10 cash back. I checked my PayPal transaction for the gift card and only paid $5 for the gift card and had an additional $20 offer off the transaction. Free $30, thanks PayPal!

Checked out @ 7:11 EST. $20 credit worked. $21.18 came out to $1.18 on my PayPal recent activities. Also was a $10 off $20 for first use offer for CVS on PayPal. I saved it before going. Got credited the $10 a minute later. Bought $21.18 worth of stuff, made $8.22 cash essentially.

So can we assume that as of 7pm CST, this deal is dead if you did not sign up for the offer, or is it dead to all now because the 50,000 redemptions.. A lot of angry folks if they killed it after you got the email confirming the offer to your account..

DEAL IS STILL ALIVE! If you had previously loaded it to your wallet.

I loaded to my wallet a few hours ago when alive. Just walked out of CVS right now, 2 minutes ago.

Scanned $25-$500 Amazon card, entered $25 for card amount, scanned PayPal barcode on phone. Worked. Got a $25 gift card. Charged $5 from PayPal, and gave me $10 credit.

So if you loaded the offer earlier into your wallet, and see it in your wallet (on a computer, doesn't show in app) then you are good to go. Get over to CVS and use it.

Not sure if this has been said, but I also had a $10 offer in my PayPal account, so my $30 purchase had ac $20 savings and then $10 back a few minutes later. Check your offers section on the PayPal app.
