While purchasing the new Ray-Ban/Facebook smartglasses, which were released today, I was able to save $65 by using the Slickdeals Automatic Coupon Chrome Extension.

Suspect it's a legacy coupon that Ray-Ban doesn't intend to apply to these frames, so get it while it lasts.

Cashback for an extra 4%.

I don't see how they call these "smart glasses." They are sunglasses shaped earbuds with a camera.

Did not work for me at all. Do you have the coupon code that was applied? I installed the chrome extension and it tried 4 codes and none worked.

If you're familiar with the Oculus Quest, that technology will be miniaturized into lenses.

This is the user-interface side of that end-goal.

Gotta get smart enough to understand what smartglasses are.
But if they don't have it now these are just Chinese white box trash. espon movaria which I have are real ar

Looking, having a hard time getting into Ray-Ban account.

Will say it was on Meteor blue.. noticed it worked on blue and not black.

UPDATE: I can't get in.. Got an order confirmation email, but no account creation/password reset emails are showing up, so can't see specific details.

Nice, never tried those. Was a Google Glass Explorer, have Quest, tried Magic Leap & HoloLens.

We're getting there.

Watch Episode 5 of Electric Dreams on Amazon Prime.

VR sales are growing exponentially, with Oculus making the hardware more-accessible to "the buying public." Huge bets are being made by technology companies, on AR/VR technology. You sound like a grandma resisting a smartphone.
Exactly I'm trying to learn a second language but I realize it's just a novelty effort with smooth ai ar transcription and translation on the horizon

Yeah it's wild, the possibilities. That worked back in the Google Glass days, but wasn't smooth at all.

Exactly. Why learn math when you can let a machine do it for you! Lol.

I'm betting these Facebook/Ray ban eyeglasses won't be around a year from now. Ray ban probably doesn't even care. I have no doubt Facebook funded this entirely and Ray ban gets a fat check either way. Lol.

The cameras in these are only 5MP and I imagine that the sensor size is extremely small. I don't think the quality out of this is going to be useful for anything other than tiktok. I think the concept of a wearable camera is still pretty good, but this kind of thing is just a gimmick. Anyway, might pick one up when it's on super sale if the video can be exported to any other software.

Maybe they'll let the app auto-save to camera roll, then everything will just auto-sync to Google Photos.

5MP isn't bad, think Glass was 8MP. Everything doesn't need to be 4k.

Sorry, I wasn't able to get it to show up again. There's a $10 code here - BE10-3ALDYB - but they may have removed the larger codes.

Sure. What's another 10 years. I've been laughing at AR/VR for the last 10 years anyway 😂😂😂
It's a marketing flop.
The tech just isn't there yet. This is like 1980 in PCs for AR tech.

You are making the mistake of thinking that the tech we have today will be the tech we have tomorrow.
