For this to be deal it has to go down to $600 without any dell gift cards
$750 AFTER gift card is not a deal at all.

Need to wait for a sale that coincides with the Amex/Dell $120 back on $599 offer that they do to get a good deal on this monitor. Did that about a year ago.

It's sometimes possible to get a monitor this size for $400 on sale but is there something special about this Dell that makes it better?

Anyone know how this compares to the LG 43" 43UN700-B. I have one and love it, been looking for a second but seems the cheapest I can find it $600. Would be interested in trying this Dell if it was significantly better than the LG.

They are basically the same panel and picture quality specs. This has Dell firmware though and more USB ports.

As somebody who uses a flat 40" 4K display I would never recommend anything over 36" that is not curved.

There's no ActiveSync/VRR and there aren't many video cards that can drive 4k@60fps.

With my GTX 1080 I have a lot of tearing on my 4k 40" monitor since most games run at around 50fps on max settings.

On the other hand, gaming at 40" is pretty awesome and the 16:9 aspect ratio avoids a lot of fiddly ultra-wide issues.

Dell Ultrasharp monitors are probably some of the best "prosumer" monitors on the market. They're def not elite pro monitors or anything, but practically just about the best type of monitor any consumer would need. They have excellent uniformity, color accuracy, factory calibration, and features.

No, 60fps have tearing, and too large unless you sit back a lot and use controller, I get motion sickness with my 43"

Many weeks of waiting (cashback 4% then 11% then 9% then back to 4%). Pulled the trigger on 11%, they ship these fast! Now there's this $125 gc.... thinking of returning it but the size is too much hassle, plus I need to get RMA. Does Dell match offer?

i have the same monitor as you and have been loving it since february. however, dell monitors are pretty awesome.
edit: our LG has a functional remote and 4 hdmi ports compared to no remote and only 2 hdmi on the dell, yet the dell has more power delivery via USB-C and a much better warranty.

i went from a curved 34" ultrawide to the LG 43" flat and became adjusted to it within a few days. my trick is i use it to display multiple systems instead of one giant display for one system. for example, (2) 3840x1080 displays top/bottom, so each computer has the screen space of (2) 1920x1080 monitors without bezels.
