These plastic chocks "expire" after a few years.
They usually have an expiration date printed on the plastic.
The material gets brittle and unsafe.
got one! Now I need an RV
The one you found is "Bilingual", so twice as good!

Do these have enough weight to stay in place?

Few homes in the neighborhood, have a mega steep driveway. If I owned one of those homes, I would definitely buy these

not trying to troll, this is the first time I'm hearing about it. real question since I have Rhino ramps that are 'plastic' do they also expire? I use them twice a year for oil change hate to be the last time changing oil

I have been using these for about 6 months now with our travel trailer, they work great and are super light weight which is a big plus. Now I had no idea they have an expiration date, which is a big deal. I will check into it and probably buy the hard rubber ones next time, but for the $ these things are great.

I don't know re Rhino Ramps specifically sorry.
I know on the Camco chocks there is an expiration hard stamped right into the chock.

I know Rhino loves to tout its "Strong as Steel" slogan
...but metal doesn't get brittle/rotten from sitting in the sun. No idea what fancy proprietary plastic they are using in them but I imagine it degrades in time.

Chocks might be more likely to be left outdoors/under load indefinitely whereas ramps are more occasional use - so they may well last longer.

YMMV - Read the manual that came with it?

Makes sense. My ramps are kept in the garage and doesn't feel disintegrated like my PVC lawn chairs

Maybe if they are left outside all the time. I have a set that are at least ten years old that are stored in the garage and are as good as new. If plastic deteriorated that easily, the interior of every refrigerator would a mess from all the broken containers when the shelves gave way.
