Been there done that. A good pair of insoles may help when wearing a pair of Filas but I find it important enough to spend the money on Brooks Ghosts even for casual use.

I got tricked, by Costco, into buying Fila hiking shoes. They last less than 4 hikes when the sole began to fall apart. I started wearing on walks instead and they lasted maybe 15 miles worth of walking. Dead in 2-3 months. Waste of natural resources making these POS shoes.
