I thought it would be an instant approval since my credit score is 817. Does anyone know if this is normal or did I get flagged somehow?

In-store, YES. Online, I doubt it.. You need to add your red card to your mobile wallet on the Target app. When you make your purchase pull up the corresponding barcode. The associate can scan you barcode and get 5% off then have them change the payment method. I did this last Christmas on a $400 purchase that I wanted on a credit card instead.

I was given a temporary card# via email almost instantly. My credit score is laughable. I dont believe they even check credit for their debit card. Maybe some type of security process with your bank.

Very bizarre. Thanks for the info. I never got a temp card and I did check the option to add it to my current account too.

I rarely shop at Target but meant to open a debit card to take advantage of the 5% they offer whenever I go in those rare times. This is great offer, so what exactly did you guys end up getting and triggered the $50 off? I not sure what to spend 50+ on?

Will this work on PS5 games? Language says Sony Consoles and accessories, which is kind of vague. But Nintendo's language says Games specifically.
