Not $15/TB, but this is $9 cheaper than the lowest price ever, from good old pre-Chia times. The price will probably continue to go down further thanks to the mess in HDD market that Chia has created. The store promises price match within 7 days of purchase if you find a lower price.

Unlike shucked WD drives, this is a true enterprise drive that works at full speed (261MB/s) and has a 5 year warranty.

Use code SAVEALINCOLN to get $5 off the 321.21 price. Works once per account but that won't be an obstacle for true slickdealers, I know 8)

No tax in California, probably some other states, too

Ugh, that's actually tempting. Can anyone comment on their experience with this seller? I think I've heard of them before but never bought from there.

Same price on Amazon through the same company - mention for those with Amazon CC and 5% CB. Under 20/GB is a great price for this density.

I haven't bought from them myself, but resellerratings [resellerratings.com] is stellar, and the person I spoke in customer support was intelligent and knowledgeable - didn't sound like an outsourced scam shop at all. I started with ordering one, but personally feel confident and would order more if needed.

I didn't buy this drive from this seller but instead a 4TB Western digital Blue 3D NAND ssd. came quickly and when i popped it into the WD utility it showed up as legit.

They're not listed as a truster reseller or distributor

But as far as I can tell you don't have to buy from an authorized seller to have them honor the warranty.

Any big difference between X16 and the newer X18 model?

no warranty with these since they don't come from an authorized seller... probably from a bulk order, the warranty only applies to the bulk order purchaser since it's not authorized

seems like a WD shucked with a hatchet might still be more reliable
Wouldn't touch Seagate's Barracuda drives with a 20 ft pole, but IronWolf and EXOS Enterprise are comparable to WD.

enjoy losing all your data once these drives start the click of death within a year
Show me on this doll where seagate hurt you. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Please post stats to back up your claim.. for example.. Backblaze shows only a 1.7% fail rate on this drive over a 12 month period. https://www.backblaze.com/blog/ba...-for-2020/

Maybe he's been burned by Seagate drives in the past and like a normal person he values his personal experience above Backblaze statistics. That's exactly the reason I don't buy Seagate anymore.

Looks like Amazon also has the 14gb version for about the same price per gig
