It frustrates me so much that the Arctis 7 and Arctis Pro haven't been updated to USB-C. Good deal otherwise.

i picked up an arctis 7 about 3 years ago and i love it, very comfortable for my huge melon and good battery life. this is from moderate use out of it around 8 to 20 hours a week for discord and roll20 gaming for 3 years

less than a year old 7P having issues with disconnecting from ps5 randomly. tested on pc/mac with same issue. customer service is non existent. great headphones when they worked. good luck if something breaks.

I have one for five years. The sound quality was not amazing. The ear muffs were uncomfortable .My last headphones were Plantronics and they last over 10 years.

If you have a big head, the Arctics Pro aren't adjustable. Bought a pair and they don't fit.

Very dissimilar experience for me. I'm using my 2019 Arctis 7s and gave my 2017 (Gen2) A50s to my son. The Arctis are far more comfortable for extended sessions (i.e. over 2 hours) at least for my large noggin. They do surrender a bit in terms of audio quality (and neutral tone) to the A50s, but not much and it was easily tweaked with the Steelseries EQ (but I ended up using EqualizerAPO/Peace because I love to tinker) . I also love the Arctis retractable mic, versus the pretty egregious failure point on the A50s (which are otherwise a very durable set of cans).

Unsure if anyone answered you yet but I believe the pro wireless has a much wider sound stage and overall better quality in detail. I believe I had watched a pro wireless vs 9 comparison on YouTube and they had mentioned that.

I wear XL snowboarding helmet. And I wear glasses.

I purchased Artis 5 headphone from last time game stop had on sale.

Its very comfortable for me. I can game for hours on it.

My gf bought me Razor black hawk v2 wireless and I returned it. Due to fit

For gaming it's a good set, but I don't use it for music.

I would recommend Arctis 7.

The focus is on no lag sound for gaming.

Its not focused on sound quality

Yeah, I feel the same way. The downvoters are probably using basic phones they got a "deal" on back in 2016.

Steelseries use USB-C for their dongle on the Arctis 1, but still use Micro-USB for charging. Charge us an extra 30 cents for USB-C for charging on all Arctis headsets and, hell, another 30 cents for USB-C on ALL the dongles. Arctis headsets are the ONLY device I still use that require Micro-USB and has been for at least 3 years. It's just silly, tbh.

I've been so close to buying these multiple times over the past few weeks.

The thing that keeps me from doing so is this model is a few years old already and does not have USB-C or Bluetooth connectivity, which I realize is not common for gaming headsets, but is something I would prefer so I can use these on my PS5 or PC and also easily take calls on my mobile without taking it off.

I tried a similar kind of headset last week and ended up returning it due to how frequent I need to be able to take calls from my mobile also.

The Pro's check that box but are so expensive and also do not have USB-C that I think for now, I'm going to just hold off on looking further on the Arctis headsets until the update their line or lower the prices on the newer models.

For anyone tempted to try, Best Buy in store told me they do not price match to the manufacture's own price and would not match this model to $100. Maybe you'll have better luck at your local Best Buy if you prefer to have easier returns if you end up not liking them.

If you're just looking for a very solid gaming headset that works with PC or PS5, then these consistently rank very well for their specifically intended purpose.

An alternative to consider is the newly released Corsair HS80 which has USB-C and a flip down mic that auto mutes when flipped up vs the push in/pull out mic design of the Arctis headsets. Reviews put both headsets pretty close but slightly favoring the Corsair's overall and with the mic specifically.

I have read reviews and tried and returned a bunch of headsets like this style.

Maybe I'm expecting to much but I'm trying to find the perfect headset for all day use and comfort that has a crystal clear mic, USB-C and can be used for gaming, work/PC (Teams, Zoom) and phone calls via Bluetooth.

Gaming headsets seem to always be weaker in some key areas if you intend to use them for work purposes at home though and the business class UC style headsets likely make more sense if you do not care about gaming also, like I do.

I currently have the Poly/Plantronics Voyager UC 8200 headset and have to say, it is excellent in nearly ever way I specifically care about except for wireless via USB adapter on my PS5, it gets way to much interference for some reason at the same distance that is a non-issue when being used on my PC. I can easily connect the 3.5mm cable though to my PS5's DualSense controller to overcome that.

Thanks, sorry I was referring to the wireless dongle receiver that plugs into the computer, not the charging port. I'm looking for a wireless headset that uses a usb-c wireless dongle receiver. Everything still uses usb-a Frown
