doesn't matter. they all store products in the same warehouses. plenty of people get fake products even if its shipped by Amazon itself

Well, I have been using the original stovetop steam cooker since 1970's and got the Instapot version recently. You replace the gasket or the sealing ring when the steam starts leaking. In fact, I also learned the technique to pull the sealing ring little bit and check to see if it stops the leak (and it works). Frugal is my middle name Smilie
Anyway, I ordered one in case instapot disappears from the market and it is difficult to find the seals at reasonable cost. I was just reading what happened to all the Oct. 11, 2011 videos made with Adobe Flash (they won't play anymore!)

I am pretty sure Walmart sells genuine ones as Amazon ones had a few saying its fake.

It's good to have extras because the seals retain odor so have a few to keep them separated. For example, I have one just for proofing bread.

Yes, I've needed to replace mine. If you use it often, the silicone lid seal will wear out eventually just enough that it doesn't reliably seal like when it was new. The vent seal also wears out over time. Replacing both of those parts brings the Instant Pot back to like-new performance.

Ours started leaking steam after 3 years and a new ring fixed it. You can usually visually inspect it and see if it's looking a little worn.

Sometimes ship and sold by Amazon actually ship by manufacturer, I have had direct shipment before though product was ship and sold by Amazon. Not saying, that is the case for this one, too.

I've had a 6 qt for a few years, used quite often...the clear silicon ring takes longer for the pot to build pressure now and the pot hisses. Since changing to a new ring it no longer hisses.
