I've never seen such horrid reviews for cookies. How could Pillsbury screw up these so bad?

I'm usually up to try anything, but these reviews are actually telling me to skip on this one.

Bought one of each for $3 total. I've spent $3 on much dumber things so why not.

For the price I'll give them a shot. 48% of reviews are 5*, so I wouldn't say that's terrible.

Rarely do I find soft baked that don't "take like sh!" The only chocolate chip cookies I've been buying for the past year have been Pepperidge Farm --- Farmhouse Thin & Crispy, and Sausalito. $3 a bag at Target, and a little less at Walmart, but definitely worth it.

The chocolate chip ones are edible but not good. They are all gross but the sugar cookie ones I had to throw out. And I have a 4 and an 8 year old.

Save your dollar. None of the flavors are worth it.

If you absolutely need cookies for a dollar, anything at Dollar tree would be better.

The PF soft-baked cookies are the *only* (soft) cookies I've found that don't come with that gross, fake/chemical taste to them. (You know what I'm talking about, right?…or even like a strange cardboard taste! Yuck!)

What do you think of them?

I bake for a living, so I'm always skeptical about market cookies. With that said, we like the Walmart brand and chips ahoy, so I thought.... These can't be bad. It's Pillsbury! My kids chose to get these in chocolate chip and Peanut butter and omg they were bad😫. I tried one of each and didn't not like them at all. My husband bit one and put it back and my kids didn't like them either. They're still sitting in the pantry. I'm not sure if it's the chocolate, but it's just really bad.

I have and I really didn't even finish the bag because I just didn't enjoy them (they didn't taste good enough to justify the calories). I believe the soft baked PF's are called "Montauk."

I love how people know the taste of sh!+ So they have something to compare to. If they haven't tried it, would they really know ?
