What is boost's policy regarding data overages?
Hard cap cut off, pay for overages, or switch to 2G unlimited?

On the product page it says "Works on most unlocked GSM phones". I think it uses the T-Mobile network, T-Mobile purchased Sprint one or two years ago.

Unless it a newer sprint phone it's not going to work boost mobiles GSM leased network.. Also boost will likely switch to AT&T network sometime next year.. I signed up for this recently after getting off the Google fi 4 month plan.

anyone use a locked t-mobile device on here? (since they use T-mobile towers).

And to confirm, after the high speed allotment is up, you still get 2g internet?

WARNING: There are two noteworthy issues with Boost Mobile.
  1. Data allotments are hard capped. Your internet speeds will not simply decrease - your data will turn off completely once you reach your plan's data limit. This is because part of their business model is to sell you more data during your billing cycle.
  2. While a GSM carrier using T-Mobile's network, you cannot simply activate any GSM unlocked phone. Your phone(s) must be on their approved list. You cannot work around this by activating on an approved phone and SIM-swapping to an otherwise technically compatible phone - you will have no service until you switch back to the phone you activated.
Fortunately, there's a similar deal with a lower per month cost and neither of the limitations above here: https://slickdeals.net/f/15297004
