Normally, this could be an interesting deal maybe except the GS stores I've been to since the pandemic have had pretty depressed inventory esp for stuff pre-ps4 gen

I think typically the used selection is either very recently released stuff for $5 less or old stuff no one wants for any price. Those in between games are always unicorns. Want something older than last gen? Good luck! So annoying GS says something is "in stock" when it isn't within your search range nor available for shipping. I'm 1) not checking every 100 or whatever mile radius 2) not driving half the country to get the one copy in the middle of no where.

People talk crap about Gamestops buying prices, but I'm not trying to meet up with random people in parking lots for that extra 5 bucks, or shipping things unless that's a business of my own. I've used Gamestop for getting rid of games I don't want for the last 15 or so years and don't plan on changing.

I'm also glad they closed down some stores and consolidated merch. My small city doesn't need 7 Gamestops.

True that.

Ain't nobody got time to be dealing with flakers on fb marketplace, craigslist, fleabay, offerup, etc.

If anyone has ever tried to sell used books or textbooks, you should be glad there's someone there ready to hand you cash.

You've already gotten the value of entertainment out of it, so any cash back is just icing on the cake.

GS has to pay rent, employees, make a profit, etc, and on top of that, the value of the inventory drops over time usually.

I get alot more than 5 extra bucks on a newer game that I sell on OfferUp and meet up with people, and have never had a negative experience. GameStop buyback is convenient, but a rip.

When selling to other people, be mindful on their account and their personal reviews, how they talk during texting and messaging. If someone wants to buy my game and they talk ghetto or are rude, I avoid, pretty simple and I've never had an issue.

Wouldn't be a bad way to pick up games I missed out on, but unfortunately on these In-Store deals my local GS will usually will have 1 game (sometimes 2) that I'm looking at and I have to buy something I don't really want or need to get the deal.

Oh and Diamond Hands to the moon!
