There's also a Wagan Slimline 1500W DC to AC Inverter but it doesn't come with the cigarette lighter accessory or battery clamps. It seems like it would be a more permanent installation. That is $50.24. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Wagan-...r/54502420 OOS

The cigaret lighter socket usually designed up to 180W (180W/12V= 15Amp fuse set up for that line) simply because of the current flow if anything with more power demand was to be plugged in it will blow the fuse.
If they were to design it with more power than wires would have to be thicker gauge and well as contacts rated for as much as well. It should be fine if connected directly to battery but there you also get limitations due to battery capacity, car alternator power and few other issues that can arise. Unless car has big battery (or two) and high power alternator the inverter might suck more power (depends on demand of what's connected to inverter as well) than car can handle and it might not be best situation for car electronics and computers as well. That's why 1.5-2KW ones are risky IMO.
At that point small quiet dual fuel generator with propane might be better option.
Modified sine wave, as reported by one review.

Quote from Oil_Burner :
Class D amplifiers to do what? Simulated Sinewaves? Then you are right. I was referring to accurate "real" sine waves which none of the modern ones using mosfets can do
How would you suggest that "real" sine waves are generated. I am very interested in what technology is used if not filtered class D amplifiers and MOSFETS/IGBTs. Maybe resonant converters? But, I doubt it.

TRUE sine wave inverters are just better simulated sinewave inverters (higher frequency, smaller steps, more granular PWM generation, better filtering)
