*Edit: I can find no indication that the controller swap affects this 2TB model.
Note that Samsung potentially swapped the original controller (reported on 1TB model) but Amazon still lists the drive with original Phoenix controller. However the change is likely helpful for most users due to pairing with a larger SLC cache, only hurting performance on sustained writes beyond SLC cache size (115 GB on replacement 1TB model; ?? for 2TB). New controller may run hot also.

that would be a lot easier than fresh install, I don't have anything on my pc except a few games, already wiped all the bloatware and everything.
then all I would have to do is simply turn off pc, swap the cards around, OR, go to bios and have it boot from the new SSD and I could wipe the old SSD/slower one and use for storage.
If my current SSD is C drive, can I clone the 2nd drive as "c drive as well"? or will that be an issue.
One thing to keep in mind is to not have both drives connected after you do the cloning so as to avoid conflicts in Windows.
OT: I don't currently have an offline duplicator for NVMe drives, but I'm looking at this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S5CV7FS/

I paid a bit less around BF from Samsung but that was utilizing cashback from a certain site. This is a great deal and a solid drive.
