Looks like they are running a one day special on this miter again. This time a bit cheaper however comes with a 2ah battery and charger. Great reviews. I just got mine and seems super solid. Plus Ridgid LSA so miter saw and battery basically for life.

Last deal was $30 more but included just a 4ah battery and no charger.

Edit looks like they added some of the other battery and charger options after I posted this. Thanks Dah-Dee

One with 4ah battery and saw $329:

If you are moving it around a fair amount (e.g. different rooms/floors) then yes. However, for me the appeal of this saw is more the size factor, quality and features (e.g. dual bevel, LED cut line), not the cordless part of it. It is actually tough to find a good 7.25" miter saw at this price point.

FWIW, looks like you can stll get the $329 bundle mentioned in OP, with a 4ah battery; or a $359 bundle that includes the 4ah battery and charger. Just scroll down on this product page and you'll see the other options also on sale.

Imo yes. This one in particular is super portable and I believe weighs only 24lbs!

Thanks! They must have changed those ones after I posted unless I really missed them. I added them to the post.

I have 10" Makita and my friend has this small one. Cut, surface, precision, every single factors you can think of, Makita clearly better. He borrows mine all the time. But... at the same time, I really really envy its size and weight of the Ridgid. If you are going after the quality, I believe definitely worth paying extra $100.00. It will be your tool that you love for next 15 years or more!!

Just my 2 cents....

Can you point me in the direction of where I can get the cordless 10" Makita for $399?

Every place I checked its like $800 w/ batteries? I belive their 10" only comes in 36v which means it needs 2 Makita batteries to operate. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places...

I seem to remember they may have been around that price when the Makita first came out. Maybe that is when you got yours?

In 4 one. I have wanted one of these since they first came and were quickly discontinued. While this is a good price for this saw I would hardly consider it to be a slick deal. Even at this price it is only ~$20 cheaper than the comparable Dewalt. At normal price this is thing is like $100 more than the Dewalt which is why I have held off buying it. Normaly this is way over priced in my opinion, I almost considered switching over to Dewalt just for the miter saw, I have been kinda frustrated with Ridgid prices lately.

I am super SORRY that my post was not clear..
Mine is CORDED (and still 100 more)...
But I wanted to share our experience (neighbors). Like other poster mentioned,
with home owner DIY setting, miter is "almost" stationary (unless you have big house},..
MIne cuts better anybody else's..
I am also the smallest DIYer in the neighborhood, dreaming to have both saws.
Compactness is the jewel for me...

This thing was like closed out for 129 or 150... I see no production changes on this one.
