The 8GB plan is a little cheaper than last time and the 3GB plan is a bit more expensive.

1. visual voicemail stops working every few months, you have to call redpocket, they fix it in a 15 minute call, say this shouldn't happen again, and then it only works for another few months.
2. NO TETHERING on current phones! I had a moto x4 up until a few months ago and tethering worked fine. I just switched to a pixel 3a and found out that officially tethering IS NOT ALLOWED and it was just a bug with older phones that allowed it to.
Now I'm looking for a new provider when my year is up in a few months, I'll probably have to go with verizon prepaid.
att gsma redpocket does support tethering but you don't get visual voicemail for free. I took two phones on vacation to some national parks, att redpocket and verizon redpocket. the att usually reported the same signal or one bar higher, however in terms of actual data usability it was about the same, I saw somewhere that maybe att's thresholds for the bar levels are a little lower. But when it really mattered I was able to get just enough intermittent signal from verizon to get an email out whereas att was useless.
Also, att tethering apparently blocks all ports other than standard web traffic, so I had problems with some of my work apps that were fine with verizon.
Also, Red Pocket eBay plans can be applied up to 90 days after purchase... or at least that was the arrangement last year. My October 14 purchase was held and was applied on December 9th.... which from my perspective means I'm already within 90 days of my own renewal so my eyes are open for the next deal on the 20GB plan.
Last - tethering. I can't help anybody tied to or preferring the Verizon network. All I know is it's worked consistently on AT&T for years on every one of my phones.

They explicitly say tethering is included...
Can anyone else weigh in on tethering experience?
However, one major sticking point is that everyone needs to keep in mind that redpocket CDMA/Verizon mvno DOES NOT allow wifi calling. We both Work from home and have desks in opposite corners in the basement where VZ signal is not great. I can use wifi calling on my VZ but her redpocket mvno couldn't.
Below is from redpocket:
WiFi calling is available on GSMA, CDMAS, and GSMT phones.

Above deal comes with all 3 SIM cards CDMA, GSMT and GSM. You only need a compatible UNLOCKED phone. Using it for my son and tried/worked with our old Samsung S7 and iPhone 6S Verizon phones.
I have Galaxy S10+ and RP AT&T service, my wife have S9+ and RP Verizon. In August we get vacation time in upstate NY. Mountain area with very often "No Service" . Both phones show no internet service at the same time, no more Verizon advantages as it been few years ago. Both services support Call over LTE, both are stable

I heard the 12 uses Qualcomm radios which I hear is better and I do have some battery drainage issues which may be due to signal.
Overall it's a good deal but the service isn't perfect you will call cs once or twice a year.
Can anyone comment on their Mint Mobile vs. Red Pocket experience? The only problem I've *ever* had on Red Pocket is sometimes not getting texts/photos sent through the AT&T or Sprint network (mostly Sprint, and this is an uncommon problem).
1) Switching to Red Pocket was a pain; I didn't receive the SIM card until 2 months after I purchased the service. By that point I had already requested a replacement SIM through their chat service, which I found horrendous (they asked me, numerous times, to confirm that my Pixel 3XL was unlocked). However, once that problem was resolved, RedPocket was smooth sailing.
2) Mint Mobile offers 10GB/month at 5G for $20/month. I actually use quite less than that (typically no more than 3GB/month). However, I'm willing to pay $2/month for the extra data and 5G.
Not sure. Do a Google search on US Mobile and you'll find lots of reviews. We've switched over from Cricket a few months ago. So far so good with US Mobile. 24/7 customer service online chat have been excellent as well. I've reached out to them a few times when we first signed up in the middle of the night and have gotten someone within 5 minutes.
My sister and her family have also switched to US Mobile from Cricket when they tried replacing a phone that was not in Cricket's whitelisted phones. The account got suspended...LOL. Instead of getting all new phones, they opted to just move their current unlocked phones over to US Mobile.

We are having 3 lines (soon to be 4) with RP but have been thinking of switching lately. I was thinking of Visible but US Mobile comes with perks and same prices as Visible's.
