Agreed, the band is ugly but I bought it anyway. I have never seen a Chronograph in this price range. The band will be replaced.

If you want that style of watch, sure, go for that other one. This isn't really made to be worn on a metal bracelet. I think it looks best on nylon.

You'll have to do a little more digging and not take that slashed through price on here at face value. Normal price is not $25.

Last price at Ashford was $43 before it went out of stock and it was on sale at that price. $25 seems pretty slick to me. 40% off Ashford's sale price.

Not a lot of stores I can find selling this model, but seems to be going for $75 to $130 elsewhere.

The band is hideous, but cheap and easy to replace. Hell, I have a drawer full of NATO straps already (it's a fun way to match your outfit). It's a pretty solid price for a Timex chronograph, even factoring in the cost of a new strap. I'd bite but I have way too many watches and the face is a bit busy for me.

If you don't want to fool with getting a new strap there are some other options on Amazon with the same watch face starting at $38, like this one.

Normal price on one of these with a less ugly band is around $35 - $42
