Kid misses doing these in the store. Most fun was the summer where each project was a Marvel Avengers vehicle, way back in 2015. Those were great kits that required real assembly.

If registration's full, just get a couple of makeup mirrors from Dollar Tree and get some cardboard and glue/tape.
You might even find square mirrors in the craft section or in the candle/picture frames aisle.

Do we have to bring all 5 kids?? Was gonna get this for my kids and there friends so they can do this pls let me know
Please don't take advantage of this to get a free party activity for the neighborhood. These kits are limited to a certain number per store. Registration should be limited to your own children to give as many kids as possible a chance to participate.

Dollar Tree sells a lot of craft supplies and kits that can be used as inexpensive activities for a group of kids.

I've tried a few times in past months in LA area (there are very few Lowes, but a lot of Home Depot), everytime was full when I did it in the morning, and even 1 hour after midnight. I gave up.

I'd rather just pick up the free kit from Home Depot every first Saturday of a month. No registration required (they required registration before pandemic when they held the workshop in store)
I have not missed a single one since they offered the bring home kit after pandemic.

So how does the HD kit work? You just show up at Customer Service on a Saturday morning and ask for kids workshop kit? Is this regional or thru out US? Is it in north-east? Thanks.

Thoughout US.
How that works might vary. Most of the HD in my area, just go to the entrance where there should be a rep, just ask for the kids workshop toy. It depends on demand of the area, my friend could usually get the kit from his HD even on Monday.

Except the one HD closest to me which I still haven't really figured that out, seems they just put the boxes out with the kits to free grabbing at the exit the first day of the month (not saturday), so they're gone in half day (free money for selling on ebay!). However, I've seen they put out the July kit the 2nd week in June Confused

I've found HD offers a lot of cars and my boy loves them. Here are the rest of this year
September 4 – Mini Table Tennis (if you're lucky to get one, it's actually playable)
October 2 – Fire Chief's Car
November 6 – Amphibious Vehicle
December 4 – Christmas Car
