I am not talking about Android apps here. if that is your requirement then look for something with bigger storage. It is possible to use the SD card to store application data in Chrome OS but not sure if it possible to install the apps in it. You can use applications like Netflix, Amazon Prime to use the SD card to download the media contents.

For data that works, but apps only install to the built-in storage. Apps and their cache & files tend to chew up internal storage quickly. There are hacks to store it on SD, but hacks are... hacks. Increasing internal storage from 32GB to 64GB doesn't cost much for the manufacturer, so it's a shame they're selling a 32GB model.
