I bought a pair, and I don't even know what I'm going to use it for 🥲
me too. to sub my soundbar on a rainy day i guess. just another thought. why on earth do people want to use a bulkier speaker instead of a sexy soundbar for their tv? anyway. in for 2 max.

hz is a unit for the frequency of sound, not amplitude.
And you need more power to play lower frequencies at the same dB. It's the reason why, if you look at frequency response plots, you'll find that all but the most powerful and expensive speakers drop off well before 20hz. Most speaker manufacturers will list the frequency response ranges at +/- 3 or +/- 6 dB. There's no way this is following those same practices and is rather dishonest. This can probably play 20hz, at -40 dB or lower, which isn't particularly helpful.

I would like to get peoples opinions on the Costco Klipsch vs. this. I am replacing some nice Bostons for my speakers for my computer/TV, etc. and need to figure out which one to use.

I have the Costco speakers they are prob going to sound louder and better then these cuz the subwoofer it has, I ordered these any way for computer speakers since I'm using the klipch for my projector currently. Sounds great but no power switch on them you have to unplug to turn off

I know that. But speakers can't reproduce same volume across all frequencies. Low frequency is very difficult to be reproduced because of basic physics. The volume drops when frequencies are close to their limits. For example, the volume of 80hz may be -3db compared to volume of 1khz. Maybe -6db at 60hz. If you can barley hear sound at 1khz 10ft away. By calculation, you have to be 5ft away to barely hear sound at 60hz. However, you won't move your location back and forth according to frequencies. Sound volume below -3db is considered not useful. That's why it's meaningless for speakers to list frequency range not by their -3db capabilities.

What negative feedback exactly?
I don't recall exactly but after reading the amazon feedback I think it must of been some audio snob. Or some are just critical and can't find anything good to say. I'm pretty excited about the deal myself, I ordered two, one as a gift.

I may have to part with my old Insignia portable smart speakers from BB years ago when they were $25 ea and discontinued. They have been great but I also have a Chromecast Audio dongle that will get more use now, probably better than that Echo Flex I have. I'm a bit concerned about the size but I'll fit them in here.

I'm thinking the Roku TV optical out would be the best but my 4K Firestick can do Bluetooth as well. I actually went back for more but the limit was two at woot.

I'm wondering how long the speaker cable is for stereo separation. Oh, just found it, 33 feet (10m) away is plenty of length
