Yup, jumped on it, repped. FYI, there is a VERY similar monitor for the same price at Newegg, but it is NOT the same, the newegg model is a 75Hz non-Nitro version, model "Acer VG270U bmiipx", the OD one is model "Acer Nitro VG270U Pbmiipx". Jeez Acer, could you get any worse with your model numbers (also note that these are two of MANY similar Acer models, Acer has some weird confusion marketing strategy I think).

Link to the Newegg model that looks the same at first glance, but isn't: https://www.newegg.com/black-acer...6824011340

Here is the matching model at Newegg for $289: https://www.newegg.com/black-acer...6824011243

I bought this for work, but for the same price, and since I also game, the OD P model was the move. I couldn't find this model close to this price and in stock anywhere else, but I didn't look long so as to not risk this one going out of stock in case OD only had like 5 of them.
Man that's a really solid deal for an IPS on that range.

It is just marketing, Nitro is Acer's budget gaming line (where Predator is their higher end gaming line).

Note according to a review I just watched, while not on the official list, this monitor also supports G-Sync (not sure of the refresh range though): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uk95cHtAGZQ

EDIT: I guess Nitro does include some gaming features that non-Nitro wouldn't, like aim crosshairs, etc.

This one is still on sale at Costco. I got it for my Sons Gaming PC. It's pretty good overall.

Not for sure, will let you know after I get it (on the 21st according to my order), but it checks the boxes I was looking for (1440p@27", vesa mount, IPS, bezel less since I am using multimonitor setup, etc.)

Checks both boxes for productivity -- WQHD (2560x1440) is a great res for 27", and 144Hz makes general use easier on the eyes with smoother scrolling.

I'd say yes.

I have 3 of these in the general "office" version with a 70hz refresh. They're great monitors for what they are, even better with a 144 I would imagine.

IMHO 24" is the biggest I would go for 1080p for something a few feet from my face, 1440p the magic resolution for 27", but it depends on what you prefer and your eyesight honestly, I hate messing with font scaling although it has gotten better.
