Yup, jumped on it, repped. FYI, there is a VERY similar monitor for the same price at Newegg, but it is NOT the same, the newegg model is a 75Hz non-Nitro version, model "Acer VG270U bmiipx", the OD one is model "Acer Nitro VG270U Pbmiipx". Jeez Acer, could you get any worse with your model numbers (also note that these are two of MANY similar Acer models, Acer has some weird confusion marketing strategy I think).

Link to the Newegg model that looks the same at first glance, but isn't: https://www.newegg.com/black-acer...6824011340

Here is the matching model at Newegg for $289: https://www.newegg.com/black-acer...6824011243

I bought this for work, but for the same price, and since I also game, the OD P model was the move. I couldn't find this model close to this price and in stock anywhere else, but I didn't look long so as to not risk this one going out of stock in case OD only had like 5 of them.

Man that's a really solid deal for an IPS on that range.

Not OOS for me.

What the hell, in for 2. Gotta use rewards anyway. Hope I don't regret it come BF.

All the reviews I've seen say color, refresh, and response are great, but backlight balance isn't great, VRB severely limits brightness, and no HDR if you care. Also, stand is crap. But it's the best you can do for budget category, especially at this price.

Top Cash Back has 6% back, better than Rak uten or Honey.

I bought this monitor two years ago, and it's still going strong. This price is definitely the lowest I've seen for this monitor. If you're on the lookout for a 2K 27" IPS monitor, I highly recommend this one.

Anyone knows if the the Gigabyte M27Q has any advantages over this?
Gigabyte M27Q can be found for $300 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-M...B08JWCHR5N

Definitely has advantages. It has 170hz Refresh rate rather than 144 hz. The 40 series Nvidia cards will be coming out as news has broken out about them. 170hz will give you more longevity. Not only that but M27Q has 0.5ms response time and it has USB ports.

M27Q's most important feature is KVM. It has 2x HDMI ports and 1x DisplayPort. This allows you to use a second computer or laptop on the fly. Like I can plug in my surface pro into the monitor and now I can switch between my main pc and my laptop with just one "Keyboard, Video, Mouse"

I got it for that exact reason. Costco returns, plus my son wanted a curved monitor. He doesn't really notice the 1ms vs 4ms debate.
Yeah I decided to keep the Costco one. I'd prefer the 2nd HDMI that this has and seems better brightness, but rather have it from Costco in case of anything. That and I'm too lazy to return and rebuy (+ OD 14 day return policy).

And from what I read, it's basically 4ms, not 1ms.

I also have Acer v277u, how is this better except 144?
V277U
https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/professional-model/UM.HV7AA.003

VG270U (on this deal)
https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/UM.HV0AA.005

Besides the 144hz refresh rate, the only other difference I can find is the response time. V277U has 4ms GTG vs 1ms VRB in VG270U. No idea how to compare those. Confused

Can someone give me the quick-and-dirty of whether I should be using the HDMI 2.0 port or the DisplayPort 1.2 port for gaming and general productivity. I've done some googling and I just can't seem to find a clean cut answer of which is "better"

They seem to be pretty similar. If you have DisplayPort 1.4 I believe that supports VRR so that would be the kicker for me. You need HDMI 2.1, which is less common, for VRR over HDMI.

Will it work as a TV? - Just plug in some speakers and a smart device?
You could use this as a TV with a Fire TV stick for example but you might not be able to turn off the monitor or adjust the volume via the remote. You would need to press buttons on the monitor to power off/adjust volume. Also, there is built-in speakers but likely not great sounding.
