Lowes started doing them again within the last year or so after stopping for a while. They give them out on the second Saturday of the month.
Since the pandemic, we've asked CS the first saturdays and usually they are out of kits fast at the HDs near us. We've been lucky once.

Since the pandemic, we've asked CS the first saturdays and usually they are out of kits fast at the HDs near us. We've been lucky once.
He used to take our four kids when smaller. They all have still have their HD aprons covered in pins.

All other HD nearby, they have the boxes behind the guy at the entrance on 1st Sat and after until it lasts, just ask the guy to get it. I always had no problem getting them on 1st Sat or sometimes a day or 2 after.
I did a couple of times with my boy at store before pandemic, but I prefer doing that at home. Without time rushing, my boy can actually read the instruction, pick colors and paint nicely.
They have been doing it all through the Pandemic.
