Steps:
  1. Click here and login to your existing account or to sign up for a free account
  2. Click here after logging in to your account
  3. Under 'Manage Memberships', click 'Upgrade to Premium' for the address you wish to upgrade
  4. Complete form and enter promotion code MYCHOICE2 in the space provided, then click 'Apply'
  5. You will see a message on the next page saying "Promotional Code Applied: Complimentary 2-Month UPS My Choice Premium Membership"
  6. Click 'Upgrade' and your 2-Month My Choice Premium membership will be Free
Be sure to turn off auto renew after you sign up (if you have a payment method on file and do not wish to continue after your free membership period expires).

To turn off auto renew:
  1. Click here and login to your account
  2. Under 'My Addresses', select the subscribed address(es), then click 'Edit'
  3. Under Name & Address, click 'Edit', then uncheck 'Premium Membership Renewal'

Login [ups.com] to UPS account or Sign Up [ups.com] for a UPS account.
Go to Home > Profile > Preferences > UPS My Choice memberships. Click 'Upgrade to Premium'. Enter Promo Code MYCHOICE2 to get 2 months of free Premium Membership.

If you signup for the free 2 months, and then go back and 'renew' for another 2 months using the same promocode, you can get a total of 4 months free.

Odd, I have a membership expiring in January and I don't see any place to extend the membership. The "actions" menu only says: "Edit Preferences" and "Put Membership on Hold".

^^Copy and paste that link AFTER signing into UPS. To me that's easier than following the directions in the OP.

My exact situation. My membership expires in January and I don't see anywhere where I can extend the dates. I only see the same 2 options you see.

I think I had read something a while ago that you only get to renew 2 months before it expires so you may have to be in that window to have the option to renew. Not sure on this though.
