Why does the title say "select customers"? This is the standard feature for everyone with these cards. Rotating categories.
these days you can buy any gift card to anywhere or even a visa prepaid credit card which you can use anywhere. But for 5% I don't know if it's totally worth it for many things. You lose all the credit card benefits like extended warranty, the ability to chargeback. (And if you're me then you might lose the cards)
i mean if that works then technically you can buy gift cards to anywhere and get 5% off.

I have this card and I got it mainly for the cell phone insurance when you pay your cell phone bill with it. The co-pay is $50 for each claim with up to two a year and $1000 cap for the phone coverage. You also get $200 back after a set amount spent within 3 months (I think it is $500).
Don't forget if you already have the OG Freedom card, if it interests you, apply for a new Freedom Flex. That will give you a $200 bonus + whatever perks come with the card and each card gets it's own cap on $1500 spend on 5% cash back earning.
Don't product change your OG Freedom to Freedom Flex since Flex is limited to 1 card per person and you don't get the bonus on a product change.
Make sure that you also set which card the PayPal key uses. It's a separate setting from the regular PayPal charges (I found out the hard way).
Ugh. Tell me about it. I purposely waited to pay a $1000 insurance bill until 1st of July when I added my Discover card and set it as primary card. Then when it selected a different card, I called them up and they told me about the 2nd place the card needs to be set. Cost me $50.
Thanks! I have the Walmart card from Capital One, which gives 5% cashback for Online orders... but only 2% in store. So now I can get 5% in store! (but only up to a total of $75 cashback) Thanks!
Purchases in the 'Walmart' category include purchases at Walmart Discount Stores, Walmart SuperCenters, Walmart Neighborhood Markets, www.walmart.com, Walmart branded gas stations operated by Walmart, any other Walmart branded retail stores operated by Walmart and purchases made with Walmart Pay. Please note that merchants operating within or on Walmart premises such as merchants that sell fast food, beauty services, and gas stations that are not Walmart branded are not included in this category. Walmart affiliate businesses such as Sam's Club and local delivery merchants such as Shipt are also not included in this category

Why not just buy physical plastic Walmart gift cards online with your Walmart credit card and get 5% cashback. Then use those gift cards in store, and save the PayPal 5% for something with PayPal?

I kept my original Chase Freedom and applied for the Chase Freedom Flex.
My first year with Chase Freedom Flex is about over.
I was able to stack the first year's 5% cashback for grocery with the Q3 5% for grocery for a total of 9%. $135.
