Do these work like the roku integrated TV's?
I have an older Roku and it just doesn't work as smoothly

You have to select it as the input method but yeah it basically has Roku's OS. I currently have a google chromecast but I like that Roku has a lot more of the apps automatically integrated with logins stored and that you can cast to a Roku or use apple AirPlay (certain apps like NFL app don't let me cast from my iPhone to a chromecast)

This Roku comes with an RF Remote.

Infrared requires direct line of sight to the Roku for the remote to work.

With RF, you can point the remote anywhere. So you can tape the Roku to the back of the TV and the remote will still work.

If you're already a Roku user, Roku usually offers this device for $24.99 on their website:

Thanks, I actually prefer the old school IR control because it works with the logitech harmony. But since that's on the way out anyway, maybe it's time to move on.

The Roku works with an RF or IR remote. You can still use your Harmony remote.
