If you click the link to the toothbrush alone it takes you to the updated version of this toothbrush, which is selling for $44. It looks like this deal is intended to clearance out the older model of the pro 1000 which has been the same for the last decade or more. Great deal nonetheless, so long as there are no battery issues with these older models. Worst case scenario you request a replacement after 11 months under the warranty and receive the updated model if there are battery problems.

I don't know if this is good or slick deal at all but in need of a basic toothbrush as ours is starting to give us problem. Won't hold charges like it used to when we bought oral b 1000 4 or 5 years ago.

If you click the link to the toothbrush alone it takes you to the updated version of this toothbrush, which is selling for $44. It looks like this deal is intended to clearance out the older model of the pro 1000 which has been the same for the last decade or more. Great deal nonetheless, so long as there are no battery issues with these older models. Worst case scenario you request a replacement after 11 months under the warranty and receive the updated model if there are battery problems.

I have a pretty old one too, and I was able to swap out the battery for a bigger NiMh AA battery. Some plastic trimming and resoldering is needed, but if you're handy, it's been working out great for me. At this price, I may get another one as backup. You can find YT videos on how to do the swap.

So, the picture looks like the older model, yet the product page shows that the bundle "contains" the newer model. Which one do you get?

EDIT: After ordering, it orders two separate items in the order history, the brush and the heads. The product it shows (and links to) for the brush is the newer one that's currently listed at $45, so that's what I'll be expecting to receive.

For some reason it's not allowing me to purchase 2 in one transaction. So I ordered one and came back and ordered a second. I think this is the older model. The newer model is showing as $44.

If you just need a basic brush you could just get those traditional brushes. Saves a ton more
