I miss the yearly Target/Amazon/Bestbuy latest iPad generation at $249.99 during Black Friday. They never did it last year. They did it every year going back as far as I can remember. All good things come to an end I suppose. Darn.

This market is completely saturated. This will be $279 by Christmas.

Does this come with a usb-c charger and the cable? On the apple event they had a slide for the new ipad and it had usb-c charger highlighted.
I just used the useless Apple chat. Cord yes, wall adapter no.

If you're not crazy about waiting a bit, I grabbed a 128gb 8th-gen about 2 months after it came out off Amazon Warehouse for like 269. It was brand new other than opened.

If anyone looking for Apple Pencil for iPads? It says pre-owned from Vipoutlet Grade B like-new, I had good luck getting them new w/ no blemishes. So YMMV.

Use code SAVE4FALL to get prices.

Gen2 for $79.80: https://www.ebay.com/itm/11394021...Swe-tdtz37

Gen1 for $40: https://www.ebay.com/itm/11346139...SwoBlaa714
Great prices.

However.... Gen1 Pencil vs Logitech Crayon...any opinions? Pros/Cons? Thanks!

Wrong info . It comes with wall adapter and shows right on the order page in the middle -

Yeah I have one waiting for that deal to come back lol
We have 5 waiting for just for a decent trade in to pull the trigger. Not expecting those good old days deal at BB anymore. The batteries are horrid since iOS 14.x updates this year. All 5 would just turn off at around 25% battery left. On the Pro on the battery would last under an hour even when not in use or anything running in the background.

Do these finally have a laminated screen or is it the same hollow sounding dual pane like the old one?

I have an iPad Mini 2nd gen. I use it for my DJI drone only and it has worked well, if not just a bit dated. Recently I've noticed it getting very warm when using it, and the drone image on the screen stutters or freezes for a few seconds (actual recorded drone video is smooth, but if I'm not turning at the right time then the video is useless).

I might have got the $299 mini in this deal if it didn't sell out, but I don't have a problem bumping up to just a 4th or 5th gen mini if I can get it sub-$200. Any suggestions?

No, unless you need the 64GB storage. The Air 2 has laminated better colors sRGB screen, vs. this one has the non-laminated lesser gamut RGB screen. This 2021 model is more like Air1 just with better CPU.
Considering this is a "tablet" i.e. your interaction is almost 100% screen usage, the laminated screen makes huge difference.
Also, the 9.7" older generations are too large and heavy for prolonged handling, the new ones are even larger. This tablet should be used with a keyboard, and eventually the pen.

I have Air 1 and Air2. I most likely will trade in the 1 to a Mini - my hands already start hurt from holding a tablet too for long, I don't want to develop tendonitis or carpal tunnel Smilie
In general, the tablet market today is a joke
