A good portion of people like the "pop" a glossy screen gives them. They already know the drawbacks and will suffer with living with the screen. You will become an expert at tilting and turning your screen slightly, not terrible but some don't want to deal with that at all.

It looks like LG recycled the 2020 chassis & mobo but upgraded cpu and ram for this in-between model.


Deal's gone but I think they'll bring it back around Thanksgiving. My local Costco still have a ton of them in stock.

I debated on getting this because I love the new 16" version (slightly better design, brighter screen, 1440p, thinner bezel, 2x usbc with thunderbolt 4, Evo designation).
That unit (core i7) is currently on sale for $1300 (https://www.costco.com/lg-gram-16...70180.html). This 15.6" is a better deal but I'm looking for a premium work laptop so I'm OK with price difference.

I checked out this unit in store and, while the keyboard is a bit cheap, I love the weight and form factor. Too bad sale price is gone otherwise I would've bought it.

Oh wells. Gotta wait. Hopefully the 16" will drop further around Thanksgiving. I have a 13.3" hp envy to tide me over until then. Looking forward to less weight on a 16 incher 😁.
