I definitely agree. 40 for a add on cable is a rip for an already expensive security cam...

I think 50% off anything is usually a deal, but MSRP should not have been $39.99 in the first place.

Edit: to clarify, IMO this should have been $19.99 or lower in the first place

Uhhhh can't I just use a normal outdoor extension cable? Maybe one that's already white too? Huh? Just for the cable section from the outlet to the wall plug. This is only aesthetics right?

The included cable for the gen 2 nest cams are only rated for indoor use. But you probably could just run a long extension cable and use the included charging cable from the looks of it, the cable included is only 1 meter.

Also I believe the 2 or 3 or 4 pack of cameras only come with a 1 or 2 charge cables, so not enough for all the cameras.

You still need the proprietary cable to go the last bit, but I've been considering a setup with these cameras and found this adapter to PoE https://wasserstein-home.com/prod...oogle-nest
