not stupid, lol. I have the same hope and question, and i tried to find "terms and conditions" but cannot.

because i'm planning on getting mine carrier free, i am hoping it holds true but we probably won't know till it goes live.

i'd probably activate through verizon, but there's no way to get a sim free and try to forgo the activation fee? i think it's $40 on verizon.

i'd rather spend my money with bb over walmart though.

Based walmart. Remember while AT&T and Verizon show online, Sprint is available in-stores. Later on in the year, it will be replaced by T-Mobile

Why do you need a physical SIM? The iPhone 13 uses eSIM - you shouldn't need a SIM from Verizon. Not sure if you'll get around the activation fee though.

Correct. Best Buy's $100 off seems to be the better deal. Of course, carrier activation fees come in to play as well. Doesn't hurt to try and get them waived though
