Gen10 has overheating issue. It would only record less than 30mins continuously. That is no go for me. Check the YouTube video before you bite.
The fcking overheating... I mean it was a top 3 issue for many yet they gave us the finger and released the 10 anyways. That's some BS right there
Night video on the 10 still pretty bad

Max $33 cashback, if we have the same offer.

Chase business is showing 15% statement credit. Unfortunately not able to open see terms and conditions tried different browser doesn't help. So not sure if there is a cap or work out better or not compare to amex. Showing offer is still available for 12 days.

Anyone with gopro subscription willing to lend me their account so I can buy the accessory bundle for 399? Willing to pay. My subscription just ended 2 days ago and I lost my gopro 9 at zion couple months ago.

Just subscribe to one month service, no one is going to lend you his/her account due to account safety concerns.

They should use metal shell that dispenses heat a lot better than plastic.

Metal also takes in heat easily.

I've been using the 10 for a few days now. It's a great action cam. Super crisp videos and the stabalization is amazing. Everyone is talking about the overheating issue but it's so rare for me to record more than 5 min clips. Most of my clips are under 2 mins

FYI, GoPro chops up long videos into 4 gig sizes due to very outdated software/system design. If you were expecting to buy this and just record an hour of video without post processing, it's not going to happen.

im not familiar with all the other pieces of electronics on the market, is there something else that does NOT chop up the video and instead delivers 10, 20, 30 gb files? which product gives you that option just in case you don't have post-processing skills?

I believe insta360 one R (a direct competitor) can do this.

edit: To add some background, it seems like GoPros are still usnig fat32 format which has a 4 gig file size limit. The same SD cards can be formatted to exFat which does not have that limitation. All it requires is GoPro to update their software a bit to read/write exFat but they have not acknowledged this issue on their forum and instead have redirected us to use their cloud service or a third party app to stitch the files together. It's incredibly outdated in 2021 and a real shame because I think the hardware itself especially stabilization is still #1.

the entire purpose of the gopro is to support quick, fast videos that are action packed and short in duration. i have scanned a ton of videos on yt and i cannot find even a single gopro video that is "long" beside the one or two i drone from new york to buenos aires. doesn't mean it is not being done but please tell me why gopro should move away from what they are currently doing and provide a "feature" that will likely drive more calls to their support team and complaints about lost or corrupt footage; why would gopro introduce this? all of the drones do it and even if the insta360 does it, i bet they provide an option so you DON'T get one long continuous shot. still, i haven't yet found an insta360 customer that switched over and away from gopro due to this capability and with all the issues abound, i would rather gopro work on something else more important. if "stitching" were a difficult task, sure let's consider it. i don't believe it's outdated for 2021 since most customers have no idea about exFAT and reformatting, etc and you still haven't named any modern 2021 equipment. the gopro is not a dash cam and customers should not be "encouraged" and to be honest, even the real dashcam users want their files separated. what is the use case (non-technical) reason for one huge gigantic file that you aren't even guaranteed to get as long as you keep pressing the start/stop button or that you will be forced to curtail due to limited battery life?

If you getting it with GoPro subscription, do note that if you for any reason want to return it back within the return period then you would only get refund for GoPro and not for the subscription which is billed separately at $50.

Also looks like Hero10 still has heating issues on longer periods of recording, so something to keep in mind.
what will happen if someone cancels the subscription right away after placing the order? Basically cancelled on the same date when the order is placed and the subscription is started.

Yea TLDR. For anyone looking to just record an hr video without post, for example a basketball or tennis match and then gather around with friends to watch, forget it it's not gonna happen.
