THIS DEAL IS IN-STORE ONLY. ONLINE PRICES DO NOT REFLECT THE IN-STORE PRICES, USE BRICKSEEK TO CHECK.

EDIT: Updated 10/15 to reflect some stores are now marked 70% off for these. That's $25.27 for the $85 retail Weber cover!

Our Genesis cover eventually cracked and got destroyed after 5-6 years exposed to the elements, but I could never bring myself to pay $85 retail for a new one.

Lowes is clearing these out for 47%-70% off right now, so that $84.99 weber grill cover is now $25.27-$44.97 - I picked one up. There were over 20 in stock at my location, so I'm monitoring for further markdowns and a possible return rebuy, but even at $25.27-$44.97 this is a great deal for an actual Weber branded cover.

Prices vary by location, but they're all within a few points of 50%-70% around here right now. Check your area using these brickseek links:

58" cover for Genesis 300 series / Genesis II - $25.27-$44.97 (84.99 retail)

+1 for the King Kong cover. The included grilling tools, which I expected to be junk, are actually decent.

i know allot of you geniuses out there know how to check allot of things at lowes that we commoners dont--that being said, does anyone know if the weber summit grill covers are discounted at all
I believe Lowes stopped selling the giant covers for Summit.

However, here's the brickseek link for that Summit cover (I believe it's the 74.8" one) so you can see if a store near you still has stock:

The $100 retail price is a joke. I bought a Weber 65" cover at ACE a couple of years ago on sale for $45. Spreading it over my outdoor Genesis grill it was pretty heavy and fit great. However, by the 2nd year the black plastic top layer was drying out and cracking. By the third year it was dried out and peeling back everywhere. The seams still held together and the only hole was the one I made by accident, but it was no longer water proof and it looked a mess. They have really decreased in quality from the earlier ones I bought. I then got a Broil King cover and it is in its second year and holding up fine.I remember paying about $50 for the Broil King. I have never tried the well recommended King Kong, but I will. The Classic is on sale at Amazon for $18, so I might give this a try, but many of the comments confirm it is not well made and the stitching quickly comes apart, so you will be lucky if it lasts 3 years, although Classic backs up their 3 year warranty. I live in DC so the weather here is not terrible.

The one you're describing sounds like the cover we bought like 10 years ago that did the same thing. This new Weber one I unpacked from this Lowe's clearance is a lot different. It seems to just be nylon without the vinyl/thick base. Much more plyable than the older style, but I don't know if it will hold up as well. It is nice to have a cover on the Genesis again, though!

This lasted me 3 years and is a solid quality.
Can't beat it for the price. Bonus for these tan ones is that if they're in the sun all day they still fade but it's not nearly as noticeable as black.

I had the 'large' size for an old Kenmore grill but for my Weber Genesis II E-335 the Medium is a perfect fit.

There's also Classic Accessories covers at walmart. Have one on a round weber and still looks good
after 4 years. Really thick material. The 58 inch is on sale for $24.

Thanks for the post, but it where are the measurements? All I see are S, M, L, XL, which tells me nothing if I want a nice fit and not a plastic bag over the grill. Boo on Costco.com for not listing the sizes with actual measurements.

At my local Lowe's, it looks like they're only 34% off. Father away, the price is lower. Weird.
Just keep an eye on it. Looks like they're all stabilizing around 50% off, but some stores are slower than others to get there.

Some of the Lowes in our area have started marking these down to the next price level 60% off. The $85 one I got for $44.97 is now $33.67.

If you're on the fence still or want to get back $11 on a return/rebuy, see if the prices are down again at your lowes yet:
