So much cheaper using a VPN and redeeming a xbox live brazil 12 month live
Have you tried this recently? Do you recommend any particular site? I know someone that tried it within the last year or two, and he said he couldn't get the code - even when using the phone number of his Brazilian friend for signup
Thank you! Just stacked 3 codes and did the ultimate $1 upgrade trick, new expiration for game pass is September 24, 2024.
Has anyone let the gpu expire first then add 3 12-month gold and do the $1 conversion? How long do you have to be without gpu after the expiration to be considered a new subscription?

On cdkeys there is a warning when you go to buy a code from Brazil stating that it cannot be activated in the US. So if I turn my VPN on to Brazil I will be able to go to the microsoft site and apply the code to my US game pass account?

I'm in the same situation, like to know too
I haven't personally done it but I've read some people have. Yes, you can re-convert 1:1 after your Ultimate sub is expired, I believe you have to wait a day or two to make sure it's fully expired before adding the Gold codes, and you may or may not get the $1 offer again, you might have to pay $14.99, or get a code cheaper elsewhere, or use Microsoft Rewards, or (insert more methods here I'm forgetting).

I normally kept the codes saved on my pc, I'm assuming you can just enter however many codes and have the years added on right? What is a 1 upgrade trick?

Yes. I literally just did it. My GPU was expired for about a week.
I'm shocked it worked. I had done the conversion before.
What I recommend is to buy some amount of XBL and go to check if you have the offer (don't follow through with it until you have all your years stacked though). I used bing points for 1 year so I was able to buy 3 months XBL and then check to see u had the offer (which I did) so I went and bought 9 more months with bing points and then 2 years at Costco.

Did you get the $1 offer again or did you have to pay $14.99 (or did you use an Ultimate code from Rewards) ?
I already know the re-upgrade works after your Ultimate expires, what's YMMV is whether you get the $1 offer again or not. It's certainly not the end of the world if you don't, IMO the best way to do it is 36 months of Gold then the $1/3mo Ultimate offer which nets you 38 months at the end of the day, it's the only way I've seen that pushes past the 36 month limit.

It was 1 dollar. I'm not going to nickel and dime when I get a crazy deal like this. Also not worth risking the VPN Brazil nonsense imo.
I think if you don't get the 1 dollar option you won't get any part of the 1 to 1 conversion.
Remember it will convert any XBL you have to GPU regardless of the deal, but it will be at a severely reduced rate, not 1 to 1 like I did. During my GPU membership I extended it with two 3 months bing cards and at that point i was gifted 2 free months from the recurring billing glitch.
