I went there and bought something around 15 years ago. I was in the passenger seat. I couldn't get my wallet back in my pocket so left it on my lap. I was dropped off at someone's house. Later..... missing wallet. Apparently it fell off my lap onto the ground outside and someone stole it. I had several hundred dollars in it and gift cards and still nobody has given it back to me...

Clearly, that's the fault of Starbucks ...

Worked for me.
These deals used to be common, maybe a few times a year. Have I just been missing them?
No, the Groupon GC deals have been very few and far between (Starbucks, Dunkin, Regal, etc.).
Just for this. The local restaurants participating with Groupon are horrible. Was so much better back in the day.
Agreed. I used it sporadically, but would filter to restaurant deals $100 and up. Had some great meals at a discount. Whole huge lobster overlooking La Jolla cove. Michelin star restaurant in wine country. French 5 course meal /wine pairings waterfront. A lot of the Four Seasons hotels/spas/restaurants seemed to offer deals... but I suppose the businesses found it didn't bring enough repeat business to justify the promotional value and overhead of running the groupons. And though I made sure to tip generously, I've definitely heard of groupon-ers skimping on the gratuity.
hmm..i bought 4 of these with multiple old registered accounts (dot trick). I was able to claim the cards on 3 accounts, but the 4th one never went through. It looks like they deleted or deactivated my accounts now, too. Unfortunate. Has this happened to anyone else?
That's the thing with SD, I check it all the time and if I didn't see this post, I would have not noticed it in my email. Definitely targeted but I was lucky this time. Got it and thanks to OP!

I remembered something like this happened to me awhile back. It was for discounted gas gift cards that were meant for a different state than mine. They invalidated my purchase and something happened to my accounts. I made sure to use a diff CC on each account ever since then....
I rarely use Groupon anymore though so things may have changed. I'm surprised the company is still alive and kicking.
Thx op, the deal worked for me. The only problem I have now is my phone i guess is too old for the current app, I went to reinstall the app on my current phone and playstore said its incompatible, so I guess I have to order it through the website or print the thing out. Don't know why they're making these apps require latest phone tech to be installed, all apps work fine on my phone but now this is the 2nd app I found that says incompatible, the 1st app I had an issue with was the dairy queen app.
I talked to some businesses that used it, and they hated it. Groupon would offer 1/2 off and keep 50% of it, so the business would only get 50% of the groupon.
that explains why there's so many terrible offers now. these businesses have to offset by increasing prices. i remember using groupon with friends over a decade ago at fancy restaurants when groupon just started. we would print out the offer and hand it to the person handling the reservations as you come in.

Actually no one goes to them anymore, they're too crowded.
Panera has the worst coffee. I also don't see them making Frappuccinos.
