For some, paying less now and in total, plus not worrying about the credits, is worth it.
Random T-Mobile numbers are getting this error message after entering phone number and SSN. "We're sorry, there was an issue processing your request. Please try again later." This is also happening on Apple's websites to those same numbers having the issues. T-Mobile is trying to fix the issue, but does not have an ETA.
So did some math and realized it's not really any great deal. (Good deal so far but you find better deals later if you are no in a hurry).

Im upgrading / trading my iphone 11 pro max .
Pre-ordered yesterday 09/23/2021 around 10 AM.
got a text an email this morning saying its ready to pick up.( was kinda surprised about this , but ig because this best buy has less people preordered , or got more stock , im in missouri)
I backed up my old phone to my computer . and reset the phone.
Got to best buy( I was one of the first 3 people there so i got help right away) , the guy asked me for my order number and name, then told me to get with a lady.
the entire pick up was about 15 mins, she asked for my id , then my old phone, she spent most of the time input stuff into the system. I confirmed on the machine my info is correct. she handed me the new iphone new in box with a sim card on top. I asked if she need to activate the phone or anything and she said no , when i put in the phone it should activate it self. got the phone and the receipt , now im heading home.
She didnt open the new phone box at all , she didnt ask if I need to transfer my old phone data to the new phone ( might be she noticed my old phone got reset)
Only do it if you have a iPhone 8 or below.
Not worth $700/800 after all the hassle that you have to go through.
Your XR should be good through iPhone 14

In the below screenshot, it says T-Mobile Plan and then captioned, "These new charges will be added to your carrier bill and do not include all taxes, fees and surcharges". But as you can see, there were no changes to my plan listed. They really need to change that placeholder text to say something like "There are no new charges to your carrier bill" because that could really frighten customers. As a web developer, this is a bad user experience design for the customer, and Best Buy should really address that because the uninformed would probably cancel this order out of fear.

Once you select that you're an existing T-mobile customer and chose to upgrade, in my case, it's an iphone 11 pro max. I'm getting $615 on my trading, so that's $1099-$615 which comes out to be $484.99 before taxes. I hope that makes sense.
