It's locked to the GSMA when you purchase and choose (Gsma) network. You cannot switch to RP CDMA even GSMT until phone is unlocked (12 months).
You can only switch to any plan in the same network GSMA.
I'm 100% sure because my experience with my RP SE 2020 deal bought the time before (that time was only 6 months lock) with free 6 months on GSMA plan. Around 3 months later I listed and sold in Swappa as " locked RP Iphone SE 2020" to a guy in CA. He want to use it in RP Cdma but couldn't. We contacted RP, they said it only be used after it's egilible for unlock. He disputed with Swappa and Paypal, I lost the case because according to to them I have to list the phone as "locked GSMA RP SE 2020).

Your answer is misleading or not complete. RP only allow us to change any plan in the SAME network. When you buy it you choose GSMA you only change to GSMA plan before phone is unlocked. You cannot change to CDMA or even GSMT plan.

Another confusing thing is when I selected a trade in device it says good for up to $xxx.xx. Not sure why it says "UP TO" if we select the right trade in phone with all the details.

Finally bite the bullet and ordered Iphone 13pro. You can get additional 25$ off if you apply promo code (google it). Also, if you are planning to use decluttr to trade in, better to do it directly on their web site as they are offering 30$ extra promo (You can find it on their website) to make this deal sweeter.

I also looked at other sites and found that gadgetgone is giving better deal than decluttr for a flawless phone (519$) compared to 471$ from decluttr.

Final price for the phone after trading in my iphone 11 pro - 925$ - 519$ (trade in) = 406$. Even if I calculate 30$ per month instead of 50$ for the free 6 months unlimited plan, total out of pocket cost to upgrade to Iphone 13 pro from Iphone 11 pro will be 226$. If you get better cashback on your CC then it will further sweeten the deal.

Does the same policy apply to iphone 12 mini as well; ie after 3 months of service, can customers switch to a different monthly plan or even a 360-day prepaid plan from ebay? Also can iphone 12 mini be unlocked after 12 month with red pocket? How much time does a customer have or how soon to activate the new phone?
