This! After trying many different dog shampoos, J&J baby shampoo beats them all hands down. After switching, my dogs coat has been softer and has had healthier skin.

If you have a short hair dog, try putting the shampoo on a wash rag. Then pre-rinse your dog and scrub with the washrag. Shampoo goes a lot further that way.

I have been using Dawn dish soap since I got my goldendoodle (about 15 mo old now). Cleans a lot better than this stuff, which is good because my boy loves to get dirty. I only need a few drops of Dawn vs lots of this and he has had zero skin/coat issues. The only thing I worry about Dawn is that it may remove topical anti-flea medication (since it actually cleans vs this stuff). It can also remove some skin oils, so I apply a conditioner after the bath https://www.amazon.com/Davis-Oatm...0078LOU78/ (can dilute this in water, spray it on, and comb it in so a little goes a long way). Everyone loves petting my boy and comments on how soft he is.

I used Dawn on my puppy on the recommendation of my vet and do not recommend it. Both the skin and fur was really dry. Did not look healthy at all. It seemed to have stripped out all the oils from both his skin and fur.
