Just about every website is offering up to $1000 for iPhone 13. However, here is a strategy that is an inexpensive solution to get an $800 trade in credit.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cond...1804983518

Go to eBay to find an unlocked S9. Most S9's are going for $90-$140. Use this phone as a trade in. Be sure and check the description for the condition of the S9 phones. If the phones are cracked or have spots you won't receive the full $800 promo credit.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_...9&_sacat=0

Also you will need to have the Play More, Do More or Get More Unlimited plans. Great deal for such a great strategy. All together you should net around $650-$700 for trading in an S9.

Same thing happened to me. The incompetent rep on chat did not put my trade-in in even though I typed the phone number, phone I'm trading in and phone I'm getting with all the details. And she acknowledged that I'm going to get full $800 for my trade-in. I was not convinced when I see the order email which didn't say anything about my trade-in. I had to cancel the whole order and call in to place a new one. Your new iPhone order email should have something like below:
Accessories
Trade-In Device Recovery Box $0.00
Qty: 1
Also, you should get another email confirming your trade-in and the details as below:
Trade-in details
Submission ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Order Number: xxxxxxxx
Submission Date: 09-18-2021
Make/Model: Apple/Apple iPhone Xs 64GB in Space Gray
IMEI: xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Estimated Trade-in Value: $33.33/mo for 24 months
Good Luck!
The "incompetent" rep isn't incorrect, though. The promo is tied to the date of your purchase, so as long as you trade in your device in the required timeframe the system will automatically apply the correct promo. Obviously, it's better to have it in writing, but you're fine either way.

I know this from experience. In previous trade in deals, I've done the trade in transaction completely separate from the iPhone order and was worried about the trade in value showing the market value and not the promo credit value — but everything went through fine, and I got the full credit. I've even bought under the Sam's Club deals a couple years ago which had instant discounts and then went to a Verizon store and handed in my trade in. The promo credit was still correctly applied.

I've just realized that you can pay in full and still receive the trade-in credit of $33.33/month for 24 months. This is cool
Be careful. You almost certainly won't get the credits if you paid in full.

Trying to do this online and it's not showing me the credits on my projected bill. Has anyone done it online and have the bill credits show up?

did they send you a trade in box?
that's what has me worried

I placed an order with a chat rep and he mentioned I could trade the device after I receive the new one.
I just don't want to risk such a big amount of credits since I am doing this for a family member.

I see the $500 port in deal on Verizon. Is it valid thru BestBuy also?

Can you pay off the remainder balance months later after going on a 24 or 30 month option?

you can payoff whenever you want but then you lose the monthly credits therefore making it no longer a deal..

the payoff dollar amount will be for the remainder of the phones full price

remember the way this works is that you agree to pay the 'full' price of the device and then Verizon gives you a credit each month.. so anytime you log in to check your payoff quote it will be for the full value of device minus what you have paid so far.

ex.
agree to pay phone price $1000
trade in credit $800
term 24 months
price of phone is $1000 / 24 months = $41.66 per month
$800 / 24 months = credit of $33.33 per month
total is $8.33 per month

at anytime you want to payoff in advance you will give up any remaining months credits
ex.
price of phone $1000
made 6 months of payments at $41.66 per month (total of $250 paid)
18 months of payments remaining = $41.66 x 18 months = $749.88 payoff quote.

remember when you used to get phones for subsidized prices for signing 2 year phone contracts? well that got eliminated and this method has replaced it.
these phone credit promos are the new workaround to carriers "contracts"

is there a way to put down the remainder 200, if you are being given 1,000 for your trade in? netting the monthly payment to 0?
