After movies anywhere came out, i went back and was able to redeem many of my old HD digital copy codes in itunes and those movies will play in UHD/4k on apple tv but will only play in HD on vudu (originally redeemed on vudu from blu ray discs). It is mainly the paramount movies because those codes were linked to ultraviolet and you could apply the same code twice on vudu and then on itunes. Examples are star trek, teenage mutant ninja turtles, jack reacher.
And then on flip side if you go back and redeem hd digital copies from some other movie studios MA compatible on itunes, then you can actually get the UHD version on vudu although it was originally redeemed only as HD (fast furious and jurassic park examples)
I am referring to the apple tv app on the smart tvs and not the actual apple 4k tv media box.

Others dont. And it's also overall the best layout and quality. Fandango just acquired VUDU so it's even better now.
