Then wait for the Ryzen 7 5800H model to be available which is 8 Core vs 5600H which is 6 core. 5600H is slightly better than Intel's i5-11400H whereas 5800H is equivalent to i7-11800H. However Ryzen processors are far more power efficient which allow them run at full throttle at these thin and light machines and do provide better battery life.

Currently most popular CB sites are running 6% to 8% Cashback on Lenovo sites. So, add that on top of this price.

I did not get one thing why you guys always compare Gaming Laptops with productivity Machines and then come to that same conclusion that Gaming Laptops are better.

And regarding your idea about RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 for content creation, is pretty wrong. That GPU is not their for gaming but for works which can use that. a RTX 3060 offers significant performance advantages over RTX 3050 in any content creation workloads like Video editing in Adobe premiere and after effects, Da Vinci Resolve and rendering applications like Blender and the 6GB video memory helps a lot over there.

Been eyeing a new laptop for my cad work. How does this processor compare to the I-7 11th gen ones?

I wish bot dims were replaceable. Didn't know they made a 40 gig memory module.

Price looks interesting and if I can get 8% back that's almost $100 off.

How does this compare to the legion models that pop up randomly at Walmart's?

No, use all caps. but, I'd like some input on how good of a deal this is. I do cad design, like autocad, and rightsuite,as well as editing for my youtube channel, and christmas light sequencing.

I use 2 x 32 inch QHD monitors. and when I buy I'll be keeping it for probably 5-6 years of business use.

Upgrade to the 5800H and 1tb NVME is DOUBLE the price! 😂

This is not a ThinkPad?
No, Thinkbook is basically an IdeaPad, it's lower end than a ThinkPad or Legion.

I think if you really want that 16" screen this is a cheap way to get it.

I think if you're using external monitors this is not for you - it's really a lower end Legion 16, great deal if you want that screen.

I'd rather have a Legion or ThinkPad personally for the build quality and features.

Honestly wondering, are you saying that a Legion has a better build than the ThinkBook? Or do you mean you'd go fro a Legion for the features? I guess I was assuming that ThinkBook being a "Prosumer" model would probably have a better build quality than a Legion but I don't know. Build quality it important to me.

Thinkbook is a rebranded IdeaPad with a business oriented service and warranty. This one has a lot of good hardware in it for the price, so a solid deal I think.

This looks so much like my Legion but gray. Even the placements of exhaust ports are identical. Solid sepcs!

What a weird combination of really nice parts that's not a legion with soldered memory. Hmm
