I've always bought Costco tires due to the peace of mind of warranty and free rotations, but you should beware of their new warranty replacement policy. If they have to replace a tire, you get a credit for what you paid for (discounted price, let's say 140) but calculating what u need to pay, the price they use is the current price(180). Since current price for 1 tire is never discounted, u will end up paying the difference ($40)in a warranty repair. On top of it they charge a installation fee. I recently had to pay $65 on a $170 tire warranty replacement 4 monbths after I bought them at Costco.
They conveniently add like $100 of "extra fees" during checkout then subtract $150. So it's like $50 off total on the stupid expensive tires that they sell.
You can use this deal to pricematch with America's tires. You can live chat with agents on their website. I got a better deal than Costco by doing this.

Save $150 instantly on a set of Michelin tires at Costco through September 26, before the winter rush. They do this deal each quarter, but this is likely last one before snow flies. I had a $50 off $500 in my email as well for additional savings (it was expired by one day, but did online chat to get a fresh one)

For my SUV, this Costco deal was $270 cheaper than Tire Rack & Belle tire for the set of Michelin CrossClimate2 tires I just ordered. They are the top rated tire in Consumer Reports and Tire Rack.

Also $110 off Goodrich if you prefer.

isnt $150off the standard monthly rotating offer between the tire brands?

Usually that 150 off comes with a 750 minimum. Otherwise it's 110 off.

Yes, installation is not free at any tire store, but you do not have to purchase that option if you have your own tire installer. I shopped around and found them to be $270 less than anywhere else "out the door"

Which is cheaper: America's Tire or Discount Tire Direct? DTD has a $50 rebate if you use their credit card. I have a DT near me and thought I would have them install them.

Purchased and installed a set of CrossClimate SUV on the SUV over the weekend by Costco. They were shipped from Sparks, NV - Tirerack warehouse to the east coast.
The price is lowered than ordering from Tirerack and installing by local tire installers.

I am waiting for snow to test these tires.

yeah, i'm looking at the CROSSCLIMATE2 also but it seems to be a new tire.

only 800k miles worth of reviews at TireRack.
And a 9.2 rating in snow?! for an all-season tire?!
Yeah, the consumer ratings are to be taken with a grain of salt, like for all newly released tires.

ie: The Defender was also #1 in it's tire class when it came out years ago.
it's nowhere near the hype it turned out to be

edit:
2021 review of CrossClimate2 vs Defender vs Pilot Sport 4s vs Pilot Sport
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/te...p?ttid=270

the Winter conditions of the test has not yet been completed.
so if i get the crossclimate2, it'll be a leap of faith based on the Michelin brand alone. EEK!

edit2:
interesting that TireRack doesnt have anything on the Michelin - X Tour A/S??

I need to replace tires on a Subaru Outback. It came with Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS tires which I didn't realize were so bad until I saw them near the bottom of Tire Rack's ranking in that category.

So I'm looking at the Michelin Primacy Tour A/S vs. Cross Climate 2. That's some funky tread on the Cross Climate 2 and not enough Tire Rack miles tested for me to be completely comfortable taking a chance on that tire, unless I see more positive reviews pretty quickly.

So I would be grateful if you post back here again after you have driven yours enough to form some opinions about them. :-)

Thanks!

the coupon expires next week.
doubt a week's worth of driving will tell anything significant unless he's doing Cannonball Run from NY to CA. LMAO

I have PM'd via discount tire when they had rebates to stack and that usually worked out well.

This review has convinced me to jump onto the Crossclimate bandwagon - https://www.tyrereviews.com/Artic...e-Test.htm

I will keep you posted when snow and rain is here.

Every Michelin tire that fits my car has been out of stock for months at Costco. Other online competitors have stock available. It's been frustrating.
